Dr. Kim Cornish – Cornish Research Team, McGill University

ABCD Project: based at the University of Oxford, U.K.

In collaboration with Dr Gaia Scerif (University of Oxford, UK) and Professor Karmiloff-Smith (Birkbeck, University of London), this is 4-year longitudinal study funded by a grant by the Wellcome Trust (2007-2010). Based at the University of Oxford, Dr Justin Cowan is the lead postdoctoral researcher developing this project, and Victoria Cole is the research assistant.

We are investigating the development of attention to visual, auditory and cross-modal information. The project assesses these processes in typically developing children and in young children with fragile X syndrome (FXS), the most common cause of genetically inherited learning difficulties.
